There are advantages to being old, or should I be politically correct and say matured. One glaring advantage is that it is a little easier to stay out of trouble, especially with Staying at home during this trying time.
I am of the volition that we Caring Grandparents will create new and effective ways to reach out to our Grandkids. My message to them is Calm and Common Sense. I also believe that they too will learn many self reliance skills that will serve them well going forward. That may just be a good question when you communicate with them.
Another thing I am practicing is to stay meaningfully engaged in building community. In addition to this blog one of the ways my son Chuck and I are staying engaged and modeling for the kids is by sharing on our Caring Grandparents Facebook page. Here is today's entry.
